Who. Cascade is a UK leading specialist provider of employment-related services financial services - without saying it, they help people manage their tax affairs more efficiently.

Brief. Coming from no website at all, there was huge potential to allow the web to have a huge impact on their marketing strategy. With our in house Content Management System, we proposed to build a website that could be updated, that was uniquely interactive as well as that standards you'd expect from us - the element of creative genius. We were also brought in to update the company's visual identity.

How. Understanding who the website would target was key. Aimed at high value IT contractors, we knew the website would be the first port of call for most leads. Once on the website, we presented them with the first selling tool - the salary calculator which would (within 5 seconds of reaching the website) work out how much money they could save with a package from Cascade. Fantastic!

Result. The first year's target reached within the opening 3 months.

Who. VKA (Vision, Knowledge, Action) is a London based business development consultancy who offer coaching, seminars and literature.

Brief. The website will be the main selling tool, helping prospects and other associates find out more, including seminars, newsletters and how to sign up to VKA's services. We were to create a brand for the company and produce marketing and business materials to support this brand.

How. Looking at VKA from both inside and outside enabled Base Creative to have a clear perspective in researching the industry. The research showed there were many different approaches to marketing online for business coaches. We took a much more subtle and professional one.

Result. An understated, clean and crisp identity. A full set of marketing material and a content managed website.

Who. The RSPCA as a charity will, by all lawful means, prevent cruelty against, promote kindness to and alleviate suffering of animals. The Animal Welfare Network for Wales is a funded, independent, impartial and transparent organisation representing all the animal welfare groups in Wales.

Brief. The new website was to act as a strong communication tool, displaying information about the network, its members, their contributions and how to get in touch with the organisation.

We were to develop new branding and identity and, using that, create an original, creative and appropriate design coupled with smooth running and effective functionality.

How. Understanding the website's users was crucial. We weren't creating an interface for the everyday consumer - this was for AWNW's members. We needed to understand their technology, how they accessed the Internet and make it as easy as possible to use and withdraw information from.

Result. A new identity with high impact, ease of use and the potential for a strong, long life. The website is used extensively by both the RSPCA and APGAW's members to communicate, swap information and allow members to contact each other.

Who. My Baby Celebration is an online venture helping people set up and organise their baby celebration. With a wide range of online tools and a list of over 5,000 suppliers to choose from, it couldn't be easier.

Brief. To create a brand which is flexible and timeless. To develop accompanying stationery, advertising materials, event display stands, website and a website management system. The core to the business is online, handling members, suppliers, advertisers and provides a full administration system to manage each of these features.

How. Researching the event management industry was important. Looking at the styles employed as well as the functionality of their online tools played a key role is making sure this project was different.

Result. The end result was a colourful and easily recognised identity, a full set of complimenting stationery, advertisements and exhibition stands as well as a fully functioning online business and website management system.

Who. Bow Lane Dental is an established and successful cosmetic dental practice in the City.

Brief. To create a website that looked professional and credible. To be completely content managed and keep up excellent search engine rankings.

How. We needed to beat the competition. Looking at how other dental practices and the dental industry currently markets themselves enabled us to look again at our creative work for Bow Lane Dental.

Result. A great new look for Bow Lane. Keeping consistent with the current identity, Base Creative managed to revitalise the design while still remaining consistent.
