Base Creative is a London based web design and digital marketing agency. We've designed and built websites since 2003 and worked with some great people. There's more to us than a website - for us, it's about building an online experience for our clients' users.
Two of the biggest weapons in the web designer's arsenal are HTML and CSS. HTML is the language we use layout a web page, for a particular piece of content HTML defines what 'it' is, a paragraph, a heading, a list and so on. CSS describes how an element of a web page should look, so black, brown, large, small etc... The problem here is that neither of these describe what the content or means; what its semantic meaning is....
You may possibly be aware that the different sides of the brain are responsible for different functions; the left half of the brain is logical, analytical and objective whereas the right half is random, intuitive, creative and subjective, and in the majority of people one side of the brain that is dominant leading to distinct personalties and skill-sets: left brained people are methodical, organised, technical deep thinkers, whilst right brained people are sparky, creative, abstract and conceptual thinkers.

Last Friday I visited London’s Design Museum to see an exhibition of the work of Dieter Rams. Rams is an industrial designer from Germany who worked prolifically for Braun as their chief product designer between 1961 until 1995.
